I came upon these fishermen on this perfect summer day. My second shot just happened to capture the light saber effect. They are fishing for Ayu, a trout-like fish unique to Japan. The fishing method is unique as well. These fish are highly territorial so an ayu is attached to hooks and used as bait. As each one is caught, that one becomes the bait for the next one and so on.
